Prior to coming to Atlantic Media ten years ago, Liz Doucette worked in several capacities in the business world, for both the non-profit and for-profit arenas. A 1998 trip to South Africa with Babatunde Olatunji for Dorothy Ahlgren's documentary, "Babatunde Olatunji, Rhythm is the Soul of Life" initiated Liz's involvement with the Olatunji documentary as well as her passion for Africa.
Liz was instrumental in founding the "Portsmouth - Greater Accra Sister City Connection" established to exchange ideas, culture, art and music between the greater community of Accra, Ghana and the people of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Liz helped The Portsmouth Black Heritage Trail bring two Ghanaian chiefs to Portsmouth and worked with ITExpeditors, The International Trade Port and Walsh Transportation to create an e-learning center in one of the chief's villages.
In addition to being the company's Financial Officer and Office Manager, Liz has also contributed to writing TV and Radio spots and has been production assistant on several programs, including "Linda Greenlaw," a video produced for National Geographic TV.
