Kevin J. Delaney

Kevin joined Atlantic Media in 2012 from The Wall Street Journal, where he was most recently managing editor of The Wall Street Journal Online. Prior to that, Delaney spent a decade as a reporter and senior special writer for the Journal. Earlier in his career, Delaney was a staff reporter for SmartMoney Magazine and a producer of business and public affairs programming in Montreal and New York.

Jay serves as SVP/Group Publisher of Atlantic Media and Publisher of Quartz. After helping revitalize The Atlantic, he was promoted to overseeing corporate sales initiatives, strategic partnerships, and advertising revenue for all brands. Jay came to the company from Wired, where he served progressively since 2001 as Advertising Director, Associate Publisher, and Publisher. During his tenure with Wired, Jay was instrumental in the title’s reinvigoration following 2001’s dot-com collapse. A graduate of Connecticut College, Jay also studied English Literature and Law at Durham University in the United Kingdom.

Zach oversees product development and editorial strategy at Quartz. He was part of the founding team in 2012 and has served in a variety of roles since then. Previously, he worked at the Wall Street Journal, first as a reporter covering education and health, then as the newspaper’s first editor for outreach and social media. Before that, he was an editor at Harvard’s Nieman Journalism Lab, writing about the media industry.
