Tim Hartman is Chief Executive Officer of Government Executive Media Group, the public sector division of Atlantic Media Company. Dedicated to helping influential executives in government do their important work, Government Executive Media Group is one of the leading digital B-to-B media companies. Over the past fifteen years, Tim has served in various roles across Atlantic Media Company. He joined Government Executive in 2007 to manage new product development, and rose to the role of President in 2012. During his time there, Tim oversaw the transformation of Government Executive Media Group into a digital-first enterprise, launching numerous digital brands and products and expanding Government Executive into the Defense and State and Local markets. In March 2014, Tim was appointed Chief Executive Officer of National Journal Group, where he oversaw National Journal’s transformation from an ad-supported media company to a premium membership and services enterprise. Upon completion, Tim returned to Government Executive Media Group as Chief Executive Officer in November 2015.

Constance Sayers is the President of Government Executive Media Group where she leads revenue and programs for all GEMG brands. Twice, she was named to Folio‘s “Folio 100” annual list of innovators for both 2014 and 2015 and their “Top Women in Media” for 2015. Previously, she served as Publisher of Government Executive Media Group where she helped launch the Defense One brand.  She re-joined Atlantic Media in 2010 to serve as vice president of National Journal LIVE and one year later was promoted to direct the ad sales team at National Journal.  Her media experience includes leading the advertising, marketing, and events divisions at CQ/Roll Call and Government Executive where she received a Chairman’s Award for revenue growth.  Prior to working in media, she led marketing and membership programs at such organizations as Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Food and Drug Law Institute, the American Physical Therapy Association, and the American Society for Training and Development.

Tom oversees both print and online editorial operations. He started as associate editor of Government Executive magazine in 1989; launched the company’s flagship website, GovExec.com, in 1996; and was named Editor in Chief in 2007.

Daniela has been in sales for Government Executive Media Group brands for 15 years, most recently as Associate Publisher during the launch of Defense One. In her current role as Publisher for Government Executive Media Group Daniela leads sales efforts for all brands including Government Executive, Nextgov, Defense One and the new State & Local expansion of GovExec.com. Prior to joining Government Executive she had a distinguished career in marketing with a federal government contractor.

Kevin Baron is the founding executive editor of Defense One. Baron has covered the military, the Pentagon, Congress, and politics for Foreign PolicyNational Journal, and Stars and Stripes. He previously ran investigative projects at the Boston Globe’s Washington bureau and cut his muckraking teeth at the Center for Public Integrity. Baron is twice a Polk Award winner and former vice president of the Pentagon Press Association. He earned his M.A. from George Washington University and B.A. from the University of Richmond.
