Brian Vawter is an editor, shooter, director, and sound recordist. Although a cliche, "indispenable" is not too strong a word to describe him. It is not just that he has over thirty years of production experience, but his capacity for the artistic aspect of video production makes every piece he touches something that touches the viewer.
Prior to coming to Atlantic Media in 2000, he worked for fifteen years as Studio Engineer at New Hampshire Public Television, and while there, won numerous awards, including an Emmy for his audio mix of a public television production with the New Hampshire Symphony Orchestra. Brian worked with major news outlets and other production organizations as Producer/Director, Videographer, Editor and Audio Engineer.
While at Atlantic Media, he has shot, directed and edited numerous commercial and educational programs, many of which have won Telly Awards. A few of these include "Linda Greenlaw," produced for National Geographic TV; "Achieving the Promise," produced for Measured Progress; "Cherished Possessions: A New England Legacy," produced for Historic New England; and "Pursuing his Passion: Edmund C. Tarbell" produced for the Currier Museum of Art. Additionally, Brian was also nominated for an Emmy for "Pursuing His Passion."
Along with his expertise in shooting, directing, editing, sound recording and DVD authoring, Brian especially is drawn to composing the original music that is often used in Atlantic Media's video productions.
