Maya, Office Trickster
The idea of getting a second Golden came simultaneously to Dottie,
Atlantic Media's President (Jingo lives with her) and Nancy, AM's Vice-President (who wished Jingo lived with her). So, naturally, before acquiring Maya, the whole Atlantic Media crew-four humans and two dogs-- had to travel to Camden, Maine where a litter of Jing's siblings had been born a few weeks earlier. We spent the night at a beautiful coastal inn and ate lobster-a necessary prerequisite to visiting our dog relatives.
Upon arriving at the kennel, we were immediately greeted by a black rooster that Dinah mistook for a large rat. Before Liz could put a leash on her, Dinah morphed into white lightening, the rooster took off screaming, and the rest of our crew took off screaming after Dinah. Luckily the rooster could fly and Dinah was caught before the unthinkable happened. We were introduced to four furry fluffballs who frolicked on the grass together; and Nancy and Brian were approved as Maya's new parents.
Maya, it turns out, has the most extensive vocabulary in the Executive Canine Group of Atlantic Media. Like her brother, she also speaks with an English accent; and she always lets the office know exactly what's on her mind -especially if she's bored. When she gets bored (which she does every day around 4:00 PM) it's time to watch out, because that's when she starts getting into trouble.
Maya is extremely friendly and is always ready to greet clients with a special something in her mouth-a bone, a toy, or an occasional videotape! Two years old and feeling more grown-up, she wants to be involved in all aspects of production. Maya especially loves the editing process; and you can often find her sprawled out in an edit suite giving her much needed input!
If you come to our office, just make sure to bring dog treats and Maya (and Jingo and Dinah) will be your friend forever!
